Single on Valentine’s? No problem!
Being single doesn’t have to mean you’ll be alone! Everyone is loved by somebody, whether it’s your best friend, your sibling, your parents, or maybe even your dog! So find that person (or animal) and spend the special day with them.
Valentine’s day doesn’t have to be just about love in a romantic relationship. In the Greek language, there are actually four different words for different types of love. One for love of God and mankind, love for friends, love for family, and finally, intimate love. If you don’t have a significant other to share the day with, bust out some love for one of the other three!
Last year my friend and I decided to be each other’s Valentines and make heart-shaped sugar cookies and decorate them! It was a long and fun process and definitely a Valentine’s day well spent. There are many other things you can do with people you love: see a movie, go out to dinner with all your guy or gal pals, cook for your family, or anything else you can think of! Whatever you do, don’t sit around and cry while watching a marathon of romance movies!
One last tip for you as well: without a someone special to buy for, you can get great deals on Valentine’s chocolates the day after! Go get ‘em!
